About the Event

Join us for a one night event where we'll explore harnessing the power of uplifting others through physical, emotional, & mental intimacy as well as learning how to be better "naked neighbors". Join Sex Positive World & Lady Vivus for a two class intensive focused on empowering ourselves & the world around us!

Doors at 6:30 PM, classes start at 7 PM, 15 minute intermission in-between classes.

Gender Affirming Intimacy

Gender dysphoria is when someone has an emotional or physical feeling that feels misaligned with their gender identity. This class is geared towards helping ourselves, partners, or other loved ones experience the opposite of dysphoria, gender euphoria!

We'll explore how positive, gender-affirming physical, emotional, & mental intimacy can make ourselves or others feel more aligned with their beautiful, authentic selves. This class was developed to support fellow trans bodies, as well as their partners, and is accessible to everyone regardless of gender identity.

We will also dive into some methods of intimate physical and sexual touch and affirming language to use for yourself or your partner(s) to create more gender-euphoric feelings. We will also discuss how achieving gender euphoria during intimacy can promote mental wellness for trans folx.

Finally, towards the end of this class, we will help you develop your own “Gender Affirming Profile” or navigate helping a trans partner create their own Gender Affirming Profile!  This class is designed for both trans folx and cis allies. Gender non-conforming folx may also benefit from pieces of this to create their own unique Gender Affirming Profile.

Sexy Intersections: Anti-Racism and Sex Positivity

This anti-racism class helps folks think about the many power dynamics that affect us when we interact in a community. It’s a good space for beginners who are eager to learn. We’ll think about our many identities and how they shape our expertise, and the areas where we need to learn and grow.

We’ll spend some time talking about the inevitable mistakes we make and the ways we hurt each other, and walk through the protocol we’ll use for those hard times when we’ve done things that don’t align with our values. We’ll center race while also addressing intersectionality in general. Everyone will be encouraged to work on perspective-taking from our privileges as well as our oppressions.

Lady V identifies as a Bootblack, Switchinatrix, hucow & self-proclaimed “Jewish American Leather Princess”. Lady V is an out, proud, & fierce-as-fire transwoman with a passion for empowering other trans folx & their loved ones.

She hopes to inspire others to enjoy sexuality & dynamics from an authentic place, as well as help folx find their spiritual place with leather & healing within it. Her love of community, education, & sharing ideas with other sex-positive folx is insatiable.

About Sex Positive World:

Sex Positive World is an umbrella organization that encourages and supports worldwide sex positive communities. We are an entirely volunteer-run non-profit committed to changing societal ideas and values around sexuality through education and empowerment.

Our umbrella covers all aspects of human sexuality including gender and orientation (LGBTQIA), relationship styles (monogamy-polyamory), and sexual expressions (kink, tantra, lifestyle). We focus on consent and boundaries, how to have a sexy safer sex talk, body-positivity, healthy touch, sexual health, reproductive freedom, trans rights, anti-racism (yes, this is a sex positive issue!), sex-positive parenting, and more.   This organization was founded in 2009 as a single chapter in Portland, Oregon, and we have since expanded to more than 5000 members and 10 chapters in cities across the US and Europe.    This event is presented by the Pan Eros Foundation. Please go to Pan-Eros.org for more information.
