About the Event
50+ sex positivity: Is it all downhill from here? Â NO! It is not.
Learn from five inspiring and knowledgable 50+ presenters at Sex Positive World's first online seminar exploring aging and sex positivity while we join together to build more 50+ community for ourselves in 2022.
Opening remarks will come from Mim Chapman, Ph.D who, after years in Alaska, is now one of the leaders of the Loving More Chapter in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
After her opening remarks and introductions all the way around, we will go on an hour long journey through what it takes to see: Â The Next Decade as the Best Decade of our Lives.
During this hour, emobiologist, musician and NIA movement teacher, Saffire Bouchelion, will have us out of our seats and into our bodies recognizing that: The Body May Fade But Sexuality and Relationships Get Better With Age. . . Â complimenting the words of Dr. Serena Gaia, author and professor of the humanities, who will inspire us to experience aging as a delight, knowing that . . .
- The happiest decade of our lives starts now
- Aging does not have to be a sad thing
- Love can be interpreted as an Art – going from juveniles to masters of experience
- Our love life is a work of art that improves with age
- The more we practice, the more we become experts in the art of love
- We are more and more capable of being happy, each decade, living our lives
We are offering this event as a 4 hour seminar rather than a 3 hour workshop so we also have the time and opportunity to socialize together and learn from and inspire each other.
We'll take a 15 minute break at this point in the day for everyone to gather our own snacks and drinks and return to smaller break out rooms, each hosted by one of our seminar organizers, to discuss how we each feel about the joys and struggles of aging.
Finally, everyone will pick between two hour long seminars which are open to all: Â one focused on male sexuality in the senior years led by Joel Kann, MD, co leader of Sex Positive Triangle in North Carolina and one focused on QueenAgers led by Greta Grace, LMFC, a psychotherapist in Los Angeles, offering a different approach to how we see female sexuality through and past menopause.
You decide which seminar to spend the whole hour in or politely "walk" between the rooms to catch a taste of each:
Senior Sexuality: Â A Male Perspective
An Owner’s manual for seniors and senior-in-training
1.       Review of sexual comparative anatomy and what changes with age
2.       Male menopause ?    Spontaneous vs responsive desire
3.       Dealing with erectile changes
4.       Finding pleasure as conditions change
5.       Penis owner’s toy catalogue
Menopause for Sex Positive World
1. Â Â Â Â Â Â Refreshing our Mindset:Â From cultural norms to emerging as QueenAgers.
2. Â Â Â Â Â Â Keeping it Juicy:Â From hot flashes to kundalini rising.
3. Â Â Â Â Â Â Red Tent Offerings for this Rite of Passage - movement, medicine wheel, and more!
If this experience leaves you wanting more, that's actually the plan. Â Â This seminar is intended to be a taste of what we can all keep building on in the rest of 2022. Â Â We will end the day making plans together for ongoing 50+ discussion groups, Â 50+ sex positive vacation opportunities and workshops later in the year with individual presenters so you can focus on the information and inspiration that you most want and need to be as sex positive as you can be in your later years.
This seminar is especially for everyone 50+ as well as people with 50+ partners, friends and family members you wish to support and we are happy to welcome everyone who will be 50+ someday and would like to plan ahead.
