How to Create Consent Culture
Many of us are looking for ways to connect in a more sex positive way, but how do you do that in a safe sane and consensual manner?
Time & Location
Oct 29, 2022, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
About the Event
Erica will lead us through discussions on facets of consent and consent culture, such as moving from a permissive to a collaborative model of consent and the impact of systemic inequity on consent. She will also introduce us to fun and interactive exercises to help teach consent skills such as
- what to do when you're a maybe
- how to check in with yourself to know whether you are a yes or a no
- hearing no graciously
- asking for what you want clearly
- and much more
Because we will talk about consent in all interactions these exercises are age appropriate for teens and tweens and all are gender inclusive.
Erica Scott is the creator of The Consent Culture Intro Workshop and co-author of the book Creating Consent Culture: A Handbook for Educators.
