A thoughtfully vetted group of vacationers, 16 people, shared a love of awesome boundaries, clearly leveled activities and a healthy consent culture in one warm, sunny place in the heart of the winter for days and days of caring and sharing in 2023 and we'll be doing this again in 2024.

To be able to settle into this intimate, connected experience together, this year’s vacation planning team is asked that all participants were L3 and L4 members in good standing in our home chapters and fully vaccinated.

If you fit these travel criteria and are interested in this vacation when it comes around in 2024 . . . here’s our vacation advice: we have found that people who do best at this event are self responsible, communicative and care about balancing everyone's needs. This experiential adventure is about celebrating the sexy in everyone and being willing to be some part of everyone's erotic, sensual experience, without crossing your own or other people's boundaries.  Because of this, this is not a heteronormative, lifestyle or monogamous couples gathering.  Comfort with and a willingness to explore pansensuality/pansexuality and be in the presence of other people's sexual experiences regardless of gender expression allows everyone to explore their truest self and feel accepted.

Here’s what to expect when dates are announced and applications open for 2024:

We’ll begin each day in morning gatherings meant to build connections and stretch the body and mind and spend our afternoons enjoying all types of Hawaiian pleasures on and off property, staying within our own COVID bubble even while off property (masked and or distanced from others not on this vacation with us).  We gather together for a different themed event each evening.

​

The clothing optional pool, hot tub and sauna are open 24 hours a day.  The multi-room Villa, with its beautiful ocean view, is ours to enjoy throughout our stay with use of a spacious yoga room and the Waterfall House for some of our gatherings and evening events.  Meals during our time together will include some planned, shared meals, an ability to cook for ourselves on property as well as going out to enjoy any open restaurants and food trucks just a short drive away.  Shared meals will include gluten-free and vegetarian options.

 

To help keep the costs down and vacation value up, everyone gives something to the experience that makes this vacation time together special, helping to prepare food or clean up, giving a little extra so others can afford to come, etc.  No one will be paid to organize the event or facilitate morning gatherings or evening events. We will be sharing our knowledge and talents with each other and giving each other the space and time to be our most authentic selves.

Those of us who can afford to rent cars as part of our vacation experience will be available to give rides to and from the airport (just 45 minutes from Hale Akua) and to the local towns and beaches.

We will be collecting $100 – $350 per person, sliding scale, to cover group costs of event insurance, some group food and supplies.

 

Accommodations at Hale Akua can be viewed here and booked through our SPW volunteer registrant once the SPW planning committee has received your vacation survey, (2024 survey will be linked here about 6 months before the trip) have discussed this vacation with you and given you the thumbs up to attend.

Everyone attending this event meets together for multiple zoom calls leading up to the vacation to discuss travel details and get to know each other better before arriving.

Please note: It is not possible to attend this vacation event while staying elsewhere on the island.   If you will be on Maui for other reasons and would like to join us but don't have the time, funds or energy for the full vacation, we have extra guests with us on the last weekend as long as you are willing to follow all of our safer sex and safer health practices.  Hale Akua will ask for $20 per day to be on property and we would welcome a donation to our costs per day as well.

If you have the desire to be a part of this vacation but your funds are tight . . . we want you to be able to join us!  We have funds set aside for young people active in a SPW chapter, community members who do much needed work in the world that is lower pay, our members who are part of marginalized groups and people in special circumstances.  Indicate on your vacation survey that scholarship funds will make a difference for you and we'll do the rest.

Alcohol in moderation is allowed on property.  Smoking must be done off property.  Due to the intimate nature of our morning gatherings and evening events, we ask that everyone remain sober enough to give and receive consent.

​

Other in person events hosted by SPW and our community chapters are open to all chapter members and the guests members wanted to share the event with.  What we have learned over the years of stewarding this vacation is that holding this event just for L3/L4 members makes a huge difference in how this vacation goes for everyone. We are super happy to support the planning of other regional and destination sex positive vacations that offer more options for members and guests.
